Taken from the popular dramedy ‘Gilmore Girls’ starring Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, the phrase “Oy with the poodles already!” can be used to shut up a person who is talking non-stop about a certain subject.
This phrase can be heard in the opening of the episode titled “I Can’t Get Started” (season 2, episode 22) when Lorelai, played by Graham, mentions that “oy” and “poodle” are the two funniest words in the entire world. She says that if you put them togther in a sentence you’d have a catchphrase that’s “knocking ‘What you talkin’ about Willis?’ right out of first place”.
